On October 28, 2025, students from 91传媒鈥檚 Criminal Justice and Political Science Club took part in an immersive and eye-opening field trip to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington, a federal correctional institution known for its specialized medical and mental health services. The visit was facilitated by Mr. Carlos Martinez, a retired Bureau of Prisons professional and current 91传媒 adjunct professor, whose expertise along with strong connections made the experience transformational and impactful.

Real-World Exposure to Federal Corrections
During the visit, students had the chance to interact directly with inmates, correctional staff, and human resources personnel, gaining a firsthand look at how a federal prison operates. These conversations offered valuable insight into rehabilitation efforts, the various roles within the facility, and the many career paths available in federal corrections. To make the experience even more engaging, FMC Lexington staff provided gift bags to all attendees.
