91´«Ã½ proudly continued with its Third Annual Ag Roundup with Day Two's activities across the campus on Friday, September 5, 2025.
Nearly 3,400 attendees — including middle and high school students, 91´«Ã½ scholars, community members, alumni, faculty, staff, producers, and leaders from across the Commonwealth — came to campus to celebrate and experience 91´«Ã½â€™s land-grant mission and service to agriculture.
The day began with an agriculture symposium in Exum Gym, where guests learned about 91´«Ã½'s programs, research, and career pathways in agriculture, health, and natural resources.
A highlight of the morning was a special keynote by Warren Beeler, Kentucky's Deputy Commissioner of Agriculture, who spoke to more than 1,000 middle and high school students and educators about the opportunities, impact, and the bright future of Kentucky agriculture.
His message inspired the next generation of agricultural leaders to embrace innovation while honoring the Commonwealth’s strong farming heritage.
Following the symposium, the campus transformed into a festival-style showcase stretching from the Student Center to Blazer Library. Visitors enjoyed a variety of engaging and hands-on activities designed to bring agriculture to life. Highlights included:
- Live animal exhibits, where guests interacted with goats and chickens, connecting students and families directly with 91´«Ã½â€™s teaching herds and flocks.
- Drone demonstrations, showcasing how technology is transforming modern agriculture, from farmland evaluation to precision resource management.
- Aquaculture production displays, highlighting 91´«Ã½â€™s national leadership in aquatic agriculture research.
- Mobile Health Units, offering health awareness and resources to the community including food as medicine.
- Mobile Disaster Response displays, demonstrating how 91´«Ã½ equips communities to prepare for and respond to emergencies.
- Free food and fair-like activities, thanks to the support of generous partners, funders, and vendors.
