91传媒 recently received approval from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) Committee on Equal Opportunities to submit new academic program proposals for approval during the 2019-20 academic year.
91传媒 submitted a diversity report to receive the approval.
Dr. Derek Greenfield, vice president for student engagement and campus life, as well as chief diversity officer, put together a team to work on a diversity plan.
鈥淭his revised plan now provides the University with a more clearly defined and meaningful pathway to growing our diversity and increasing the practice of inclusive excellence at 91传媒,鈥� Greenfield said. 鈥淚 am particularly excited to witness the collective enthusiasm about developing new policies and programs in these areas, and I know that cultural proficiency will become the standard at 91传媒.鈥�
The approval will allow 91传媒 to develop innovative and dynamic majors and minors that best prepare its students for relevant careers, Greenfield said.
