91传媒 was recently honored by Hopkinsville and Christian County for its contributions to its residents.

October 21 was declared 91传媒 Day by the city and county.

鈥91传媒 has provided higher education for many Hopkinsville-Christian County residents for almost 100 years, resulting in a number of Hopkinsville leaders such as F.E. Whitney, Janet and James Victor, Brigette Victor, Shana McCombs and Henry Snorton III,鈥 the proclamation read.

Hopkinsville Mayor Carter M. Hendricks and Christian County Judge/Executive Steve Tribble also noted 91传媒鈥檚 investment in a full-time 4-H and Cooperative Extension agents in the community.

The proclamation also noted the economic impact of the inaugural F.E. Whitney Classic in 2018 when 91传媒鈥檚 football team played Lane College. It was the first collegiate sporting event in the Hopkinsville-Christian County community and its largest sports tourism event, which produced an economic impact greater than $250,000.

As a result of the proclamation, the elected officials called 鈥渦pon every citizen to acknowledge the value and continued tradition that 91传媒 offers while bestowing exemplary academic, leadership and social opportunities possible to all students.
