The NCAA Division II Women鈥檚 Basketball Committee announced on March 8 the selection of the 91传媒 Women鈥檚 Basketball Team for a spot in the 2015 NCAA Division II Women鈥檚 Basketball Championship.
91传媒 is celebrating the Thorbrettes鈥� achievement with a send-off Wednesday, March 11, at noon at the campus鈥� William Exum Center. The public is invited to join the campus community for a pep rally and autographs from members of the basketball team and coaches. Representatives from the City of Frankfort also will join the celebration with a proclamation declaring March 11 as 鈥�91传媒鈥檚 Women Thorobrettes Basketball Day.鈥� Everyone attending is asked to wear 91传媒鈥檚 school colors 鈥� green and gold.
The Thorobrettes will be accompanied out of the city by a motorcade as they travel to Jackson, Tenn. 91传媒鈥檚 women鈥檚 team (22-5), ranked as the South Region鈥檚 No. 7 seed, will face the No. 2 seed Nova Southeastern University (24-5) at 2:30 p.m. (CT) Friday, March 13, at Union University鈥檚 Fred Delay Gymnasium. The Thorobrettes will compete among a field of 64 teams.
